My Thrilla from Manila

My craving for Filipino food rarely gets satisfied but Max's did the trick. I haven't had Filipino food this good since my mom made it (yes my mom made Filipino food). The lumpia had a good amount of meat and was so tasty. Chicken…

Max's Restaurant has a great selection of Filipino food. I love their beef tapa dish as well as their halo halo. Since they are usually pretty busy around dinnertime (7-8 pm), there might be a bit of a wait before you are seated.
Great place for Filipino Food!

although it is a bit pricey, the food is overall quite good here. it is a restaurant atmosphere with a bar and karaoke as well! a great place to either eat casually or host a birthday! i recommend their chicken, it's great!!

I totally agree with the previous poster. My personal favorites are the chicken, fried rice, pancit and tofu with asparagus. The food is fresh and tasty.
The Best Filipino Food

For Filipinios out there, this is the place to bring your friends to dine in. They've got the best chicken and kare-kare and sinigang ever. Though they are a bit stingy on the meat for the kare-kare, I still loved it. Halo-halo is…
Arrogant and Rude
rcb66 from Citysearch   2008-05-20T16:13:05-07:00
I wrote this review on Yelp: The arrogance and rudeness of the staff is almost as well seasoned as the fatty fried chicken. I suppose I can believe that Max's exemplifies the typical loftiness and rise of a company whose humble…
I'm Filipino and I do not like this place
porkjello from Citysearch   2007-11-14T12:38:15-08:00
All they do here is fry everything. There is nothing tasty about eating everything fried and passing it off as Filipino food. You are better off eating at a Filipino place where you have to point at food in order to have it put on your…

Omg I love max, and i definetely understand what these people are saying, but c'mon too. I mean filipino, american, mexican. Whatever food it is, it has to be expensive. We are in the U.S. duuh!! I mean c'mon, its worth the money. Yeah…
Tasty food...

Max's serves great tasting FOOD. The Crispy Pata and friend chicken are some of my most favorite plates. This place is a bit pricey, but that's the PRICE you pay for wanting authentic Filipino food. Nevertheless I'd say it?s worth the…
over rated! over priced!!!

Eating Filino style is about sharing food with family and enjoying the company. i should know...i'm a flip. Max's has that atmosphere but it ends there...Who pays for refills on soda? At Max's you do. i can see the justification if juice…

Wow the place was busy and with lots of customers. Our waiter was fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very nice for my entire family. We enjoyed the food specially dessert. Parking was $2.50 and they offered Vallet. The…

If you're a filipino food kinda person and don't care much about the service, then Max's is for you. I go here whenever I have a Max's fried chicken craving..mmm they're soO good...I don't even care how sucky the service can get ..i mean…
Not like Lolo used to make it...
jazz_singa from Citysearch   2005-06-29T17:00:00-07:00
Ok, first, the Chicken is Highly Recommended, always tender, tasty and juicy, but for me that is where it ends. The adobo has a thick pasty gravy, the lumpia shanghai is so-so, the halo-halo is pretty good. Max's is no comparison to…
