Fantastic Cuban press sandwiches can be found at Mambos. It's a family run place, and it shows. They slow cook the pork to perfection. Great plantains as well.
Pretty straightforward...

Good food and decent prices will always make me come back for more. I had the Roasted Pork with black beans & rice & maduros. It was a complete meal with the maduros being dessert!
Best Authentic Cuban Food!

Mambos has all my favorite Cuban dishes and more. I love the breaded Chicken (Pollo Empanizado), Shredded Beef (Ropa Vieja) and Garlic Shrimp (Camarones al Ajillo). Home made Tamales (pork or vegetable), Empanadas, Croquetas, papa rellena…

We heard about this hidden gem on the popular tv show, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives"; and were eager to try...

This is your place to find EXCELLENT Cuban food. If you love shredded juicy roast pork, plantains, black beans and rice, this is the place to be... come here for the food and service. It's not a quiet place. The acoustics are a bit…
this place will get busy soon
matrickz from Citysearch   2009-06-02T01:17:58-07:00
Guy Fieri will have this place on the show soon so expect it to get busy. I imagine that since he has it on the show it is worth 5 stars.
One of My Faves!

Mambo's is one of my fave places ever. Not only is the food absolutely fabulous, the service is just beyond lovely. I have never had a bad meal there or a bad experience with the staff or owners. In fact, I feel sorry for the person…
Great Cuban Food!
Jennifer B from Insider Pages   2008-09-11T15:09:00-07:00
This place has some great Cuban food! The food is reasonable priced and the service is great. It's a quaint restaurant and has ample parking. There are definitely no frills about this place, but the food is tasty.
Replace this place with Porto's. Boycott Mambos for unprofessionalism! Read Below! No lie!

I had a similar experience as Hyperspin. When my sandwich arrived, it was cold and not pressed. They took it back to the kitchen. Instead of making a proper one, they overpressed the first one. It wasn't really even a sandwich anymore.…
One of our "go to" restaurants

My wife and I have made this great Cuban restaurant one of our regular Friday/Saturday night dining spots. Everything on the menu is excellent and the prices are extremely reasonable by L.A. standards. Appetizer sampler platter is a…
Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!

Great food! I was especially happy to discover their Picadilloskar, which is a vegetarian dish. Scumptious! The staff is friendly but if you plan on having lunch on a weekday, make sure to get there early! This place gets packed.
good food
malibu28 from Citysearch   2006-07-12T17:00:00-07:00
This place has nice food and the price is reasonable. My only suggestion is to be very nice to the owners. If you're not nice they won't be nice to you and you may even be asked to leave. Luckily they're nice to me but I had seen an…
Great Cuban food!

If you want authentic Cuban food in Burbank, this is the best you'll get. The pork, steak, plaintains, black beans & rice- the whole meal feels like you're sitting in Little Havana. (Well, except for the salsa they serve with the Cuban…
Cozy!

I love the food at MAMBO's as well as the atmosphere. An old garage has been converted into a great lunch spot. The walls are a deep red and adorned with black and white photos reflecting Cuban Arts. There's also outdoor seating ... great…
Cuban at best!
intlfoods from Citysearch   2005-05-03T17:00:00-07:00
I can't imagine that I would actually eat Cuban food again (after a bad taste at another restaurant). But this joint's really good, not the usual fruit and sweet juices running through your rice or meat (such a turn off). The dish kept…
Good food

This was a nice change from Versailles. The breast of chicken steak and the mambo chicken were good. The Carib-Bean salad was very yummy. Service was so-so, but considering there was only 1 waitress handling the place, it wasn't too…
YUM!!!
ekat213 from Citysearch   2004-07-24T17:00:00-07:00
The food is consistently good, is always served with a smile, and the ambience is energizing and fun. Get the appetizer plate for a taste of everything - and it's not on the menu, but the chicken fajitas are delicious. The only sad…
Horrible Service, Food and Experience
Hyperspin from Citysearch   2004-05-26T17:00:00-07:00
Towards the end of our meal the waitress asked if the food was ok. I answered, "Yes the chicken was good but the steak had an old taste to it". She immediately said "no!!" and went to the kitchen. Shortly after that a man approached…
Cozy atmosphere, great food!

If you're looking for a chill place with great Cuban fare, Mambo's is just that spot. You come in, seat yourself and are immediately greeted by the very friendly staff. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and it shows in the…
